Health Promotion & Prevention Programs
Looking for a few dynamic people who want to learn how to lead a Stepping On workshop in our community. Stepping On Leaders are current or retired health care professionals, social workers, health educators, fitness experts or aging network professionals. Individuals should have previous experience facilitating a group program based on adult learning or self-efficacy principles, experience working with older adults in a professional setting and have a sponsoring organization that is willing to commit the resources needed to implement and sustain Stepping On, The Leader must attend and successfully complete a three-day Leader Training course generally provided by two certified Master Trainers. The primary role of the Leader is to facilitate the seven Stepping On workshop sessions. The Aging & Disability Resource Center offers a variety of low and no cost program, classes and materials that are aimed at adults 60+, adults with disabilities and their families and caregivers.

Senior Centers L.E. Phillips Senior Center and Augusta Senior Center provide a variety of services and programs to adults 55 +. Individuals are able to obtain needed services, develop skills, maintain independence and enhance the emotional and social quality of their lives while remaining active in the community.
