Formation of the Special Committee:
Eau Claire County Board Chair Gregg Moore announced on September 2, 2008 his appointments to the 15-member Special Committee to Resolve Jail Space and Site Needs. ?I am confident that the committee will be able to find common ground, and I am hopeful that the 15 civic leaders on this committee will, after thoroughly reviewing both needs and options, reach a consensus on a recommended solution,? Moore said.

The committee is composed of fifteen members. The composition contains seven County Board Supervisors, two Eau Claire City Council appointees and six are citizen members.

Future Meeting Dates:
The Special Committee to Resolve Jail Space and Site Needs meets from 6:30pm to 9:30pm in Room 2550 of the Eau Claire County Courthouse on the following dates unless otherwise noted:
Off - Campus Locations:
A preliminary analysis of possible sites within - or immediately adjacent to (annexable) ? the corporate city limits. Sites are to be near existing utilities and adequate transportation routes, and be a minimum of 15 acres.
