Disabled access is provided at a number of recreation areas on county land. These areas include disabled accessible fishing piers at Coon Fork Lake Park on the dayside and at Lake Eau Claire Park. Disabled accessible toilets at all county parks including widened doorways, handrails, etc. Coon Fork campground has 6 accessible campsites with blacktopped surfaces, raised fire rings, accessible picnic tables, and 5 sites have paved walkways to restroom/shower buildings. In addition, both shower buildings have completely accessible shower and toilet facilities.
The Parks and Forest Department also has available disabled access permits for those disabled hunters who have a class A, B, or C Wisconsin DNR (Department of Natural Resources) permit to enable complete access to county forest land.
Those with a DMV (department of motor vehicles) disabled parking permit are also eligible to get a county disabled access permit.
