The Sheriff's Office has been involved in many Honor Guard details over the years, but a more formal honor guard was introduced in May of 2005 with new uniform design, formal training, and new procedures and polices enhancing their professionalism. The Honor Guard consists of two sergeants and seven deputies from various divisions within the Sheriff's Office. They are involved in a variety of duties that include posting colors at a ceremony, funeral guard, parades, representatives for memorial services, and many related events.
