The Sheriff administrative office is closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, morning of (½ day) Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas Day
What do you charge for copies of materials?
Accident Reports
As of January 1, 2010, all accident reports, except fatal accidents, may be purchased on a 24/7 basis over the Internet by credit card. Insurance companies can set up prepaid accounts by check or credit card. Click here for more information on how to order on line Cost is $4, the same as a mailed copy.
When requesting an accident report by phone or by mail you should provide the date of the accident, who was involved, and the case number if known.
FAX: prepayment of $4 for a standard four (4) page accident report, $1 for each additional sheet. (Statements, etc). Payment in advance is requested.
Walk-ins: $2 for up to 10 pages, 25 cents for each additional page.
Mail: $4 for up to 10 pages and .25 cents for each additional page. Payment in advance with a self addressed stamped envelope is requested.
Incident Reports
FAX: $1 a page
Walk-ins: $2 for up to 10 pages, 25 cents for each additional page.
Mail: $4 for up to 10 pages and .25 cents for each additional page.

Citations:
Walk-ins: 25 cents a page
Photos $2 per photo plus tax for non-digital. Photos $5 per CD for digital photos.
CD and/or DVD $5 per CD or DVD
Note: No credit card payments, only cash, check or money order.
What is the cost of having someone served with a paper?

Where do I pay my parking ticket?
Parking Tickets issued by the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office are paid at the Eau Claire County Treasurer's Office.
Where do I pay my traffic citation and/or ordinance violation citation?
All citations are paid at the Clerk of Courts (hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

What is the cost of a background check?
There is no charge to complete a background check.
Note: The Sheriff’s Office will only release information that has been generated by our office. If the incident/arrest/accident, etc. was handled by some other agency you must contact that agency for a background check.
