SCHEDULING A VISIT WITH AN INMATE
Visitation is by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled online at http://jailvisit.co.eau-claire.wi.us at least 1 day in advance. Please review the information in the Online Visitation Scheduling & Registration Brochure prior to using online registration and scheduling. If you do not have access to the Internet you may register at the kiosk in the lobby of the Eau Claire County Jail.
Non-contact video visitation will be held at the Eau Claire County Jail located at 710 2nd Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703. All visits are monitored
Visiting hours are at the following times:
Monday through Friday
- Starting at 9 am and ending at 11:25 am
- Starting at 2 pm and ending at 4:25 pm
Wednesday and Sunday evening
- Starting at 6:30pm and ending at 9:25pm
Inmates are allowed two 25 minute visits per week. Visitors are allowed to visit 4 times a week. Visitors can schedule back to back visits with the same inmate.
Each inmate is permitted to have up to four visitors at one time. Inmates are allowed two adult visitors per visit, minors (individuals under the age of 18) must be accompanied by their legal parent or guardian and be registered for the visit.

VISITOR RULES AND REGULATIONS
If you have articles of clothing or money to drop off for an inmate, it must be dropped off before your visit. Jail staff will not accept anything during or after the visit.
We suggest visitors arrive 5 minutes before the start of their scheduled visitation Visitors must present a valid government issued photo ID.
Visitors are expected to be courteous to other visitors. Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or any other type of disruptive behavior will not be permitted in the visitation center. Failure to comply will result in termination of the sessions and may result in suspension of future visits.
Children must be supervised at all times. If your child is disruptive, (i.e. crying, screaming, running, etc.), you will be asked to control the child or leave. Children are not allowed to run or play within the visitation or lobby area. Diaper changing in the visitation or lobby area is prohibited. Any damage you cause to the equipment or facility will not be tolerated and criminal charges will be placed against you as well as restitution.
Proper attire is required at all times. Shoes and shirts must be worn; suggestive clothing, see-through fabrics, halter or tube type tops will not be permitted. Visitation staff will determine if clothing is unsuitable.
CELL PHONE ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE EAU CLAIRE COUNTY JAIL. Visitors caught with a cell phone will be asked to leave and may have future visits suspended.
NO cameras (including cell phone cameras), video, or audio recording devices are allowed in the visiting room at any time.
No food or drink may be brought into the visitation area.
Intoxicated individuals or people who appear to be under the influence WILL NOT be allowed to visit.
Visits with members of the clergy will be allowed at reasonable hours and for a reasonable
length of time. The Jail Chaplain must make the referral for the visit. Visits are subject to
approval from the jail administration.
Professional visitors will be allowed into the jail at reasonable times during the day.
Those times are:

Professional visits are not monitored but may be subject to visual observation.
A special visit may be granted to the inmate under certain circumstances. It is the responsibility
of the inmate to request this visit and is subject to approval from the jail sergeant.
