Juvenile Court Intake Staff have Moved

Post Date:09/12/2017 8:54 AM
In 2016, Eau Claire County made a decision to integrate the Department of Human Services and Children’s Court Services.

The Directors of both departments jointly recognized integrating the Departments is in the best interest of the children, youth and families of Eau Claire County. We have identified the following rationale for the integration:
• Enhanced and improved outcomes for the families, children and youth of Eau Claire County by movement toward a trauma-informed organization
• Increased compliance with Child Protective Services Standards
• Increased operational and funding efficiencies
• Improved youth justice and child protective services on-call systems

Children’s Court Services has two divisions of service: Juvenile Court Intake & Juvenile Court Detention

Effective Tuesday, September 12, 2017, staff from the current Children’s Court Services-Juvenile Court Intake will be physically moving office locations from the third floor of the Government Center building to the second floor of the Human Services building.
Complete integration will be finalized by January 2018.
Secure detention staff will remain on the third floor of the main building.

We are aware this will cause some confusion with staff, community and professional service providers so workgroups have been developed to address possible areas of communication and integration to make the transition as smooth as possible.

If you should have any questions regarding the Department integration please call the Dept. of Human Services at (715) 839-2300.
